SQL is the abbreviation of "Structured Query Language" which is a domain-specific language used in programming and designed for managing data held in a relational database management system (RDBMS) MySQL is a RDBMS which includes a server that more users can work with it at the same time. Besides MySQL there are also serverless RDBMS, e.g. SQLite.
