Which advantages does C have?

Do you know some reasons for using C instead of C++?
Is there anything you can implement in C and not in C++ or something only can be programmed using C?

C is used basically to create the operating system because of its comfort and easy to understand by other languages too os is created but to manage that language is quite complex and C is less complicated comparatively embedded system is also mostly created on C
advantage of using C over others language is that it's less complicated and we can make use of it very easily

Martin Taylor As you probably know, the question was about advantages over C++.
But I want to be very sure about this:
Are C++ binaries generally less memory efficient? And can't they be used for 2 kB code space and 128 bytes of RAM?
