any, but preferred will be Linux or be more specific and get Kali Linux with all the tools packed, you can pentest a wordpress site, scan any site and even try sql injections. you will have tools to hack Wi-Fi and more

A well maintained version of Linux? OSX?
Either way, you still have to take steps to lock down an operating system. Windows can be secure if configured correctly, but as it's a popular operating system, there are more people trying to hack it!

Kali linux has lot's of nice programs for entering the world of infosec.
If you are new to this, I recommend you to download a .iso and create a virtual machine using VirtualBox.
