If all you require to do is write exploits(which is the pro's way) , i prefer python3. if you want to test hardware, go in for assembly language. If you want to test websites for security flaws, go in for web languages, atleast basic understanding of how websites work(SQL is good for SQL injections and database hacking). Just choose your soecific field in pen-testing, acknowledge perfect languages and learn the most productive one's. Happy learning.
