Why do we use hex code for color instead of color name

You can use also RGB, HSL and of course named colored values supported by your browser.
In fact i had made a color code which had values by name.
Now why use hex instead of named values? because you want a specific color value like #1ab246 or # ac2356 instead of being limited to 143 named values.
