What is front end and back end?

Hi, So basically think of web as a restaurant the front end is the waiters ( The ones appearing on the surface for the customers and must be well dressed and presentable)
The backend are the chefs and the entire kitchen staff. Must be functional and clean and all the back office work is happening in there
Full stack is the manger who can work in both places.
