Nope, very little math is required. Unless you are doing some kind of specialized programming, at most you'll use simple algebra. Some people say that the thinking processes for code and math are similar, but I disagree. They're much different in my experience.

It is very useful if you’re good at math but you don’t need to

Teaching yourself to code doesn't require much maths, says Emma Mulqueeny – just logic, and the ability to 'borrow' from other people's work. 1- https://www.quora.com/Will-I-get-far-as-a-programmer-if-Im-not-a-math-genius 2- https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2015/09/you-dont-have-to-be-good-at-math-to-learn-to-code/403342/

Yes that is fine 😛. Calculus is not mandatory. Useful / helpful? Yes. If what you're doing is related to math or physics.

It's similar in many ways, especially the use of strict rules and order of operations, but overall programming is far easier than math (to me).

I ll highly recommend to watch this video first to understand the relevant branches of mathematics, This guy has did an awesome job in helping u visualize it, must watch for beginners as well as professional it ll give u a good idea of domains in mathematics which branch out to fields of programming. https://youtu.be/OmJ-4B-mS-Y
