GSoC is an event organized by Google each year.
Different organizations enter into event, bring ideas, student work on those ideas and they are also paid.
Purpose of the event is to produce more open source stuff and shine the skills of students.

These summers are going to be great for us. We will be working on an open-source project with superb organisations like Apache, Eclipse, and 100's of more !!
