hi I’m really interested into cryptography I understand how it works but I don’t really understand how to put it in use and how to write it down

Cryptography is mostly used when you don't want a third-party to read any sensitive data. It can be put to use when storing usernames and passwords in a database, sending sensitive messages back and forth, or encrypting a drive or file you don't want anyone else looking at. You can write it down by having a function that takes in data as a parameter and iterate through that data and for every iteration, perform an algorithm (most basic is an XOR modified by a key) to encrypt the data. To decrypt, iterate through the encrypted data and perform the opposite of the algorithm you came up with. so data = 2, key = 3 Encrypt 2 + 3 = 5, data is now 5 Decrypt 5 - 3 = 2, data is now the original (- opposite of +)

I made a secret message encoder that can be used for cryptography. It uses an alphabet shift cipher. This might give you ideas for other methods to encode or decode messages.

And I don’t quite understand hash salted I want to know how people code them and where I can learn how to code all this and whets the best software to do this on
