Sit down and relax, you`re about to know the story of Java.
It was a beautiful day at Sun Microsystems`s building, James Goslin team were working in a new programming language to allow machines to communicate with each other, and be able to run a single version of a program in any platform. They were pretty excited with their new project, but there was a problem, they didn`t knew what name to give to this new language. The team really wanted to call their project by the name: Oak, to make a tribute to a tree(oak) in front of Goslin`s office. But there was already a tecnology called Oak. Then James Goslin`s team joined in a room to solve this problem. And then Goslin asked his team: -What makes you get excited?- His team answered -A strong coffee or a "java coffee"(one of the most strong coffees are produced in Java island, so north americans usually refer to this kind of coffee as "java coffee"). So James Goslin thinks: that`s it! Java will be the name of our programming language. So for this reason, today we know the multiplatform language as "Java". Hope you like the story.
