Is Visual Studio worth it, considering all the complexity and time it takes to set up and learn? Is it also better than Atom? For example, would you get it?

New AnswerI use Atom. It's more clearly for me then VS. and there are a lot of plugins that you can download and set up into you local machine, and it is supported by the community of github coders all over the world. I like Atom more. It's only my opinion.
I use visual studio community because it is free, and because Unity engine uses it for development. What do you want to do with it? It has support for a lot of languages.
I enjoyed VS while I had it. But I like the customization and efficiency of vim, including their keymapping. Atoms customization is great as well.
Visual Studio is awful. It took 4 hours to download and is always crashing. I have a modern Windows 10 computer so I don't know why it won't work
