Python, NLP (Natural Language Processing), and Computational Linguistics jobs

Do you know people who graduated in Linguistics (that is, no formal education in computer science or related fields), learned Python, and got a job related to Natural Language Processing (NLP)?
I have an MA in Linguistics and I'd like to work with NLP. My main doubt is: what are typical requirements to work in this field?

For that you will have to learn basic programming ,(python is my suggestion because it has fastest growing community in NLP and machine learning ), then dive into online tutorials for data science and artificial intelligence. You will also need to learn python libraries for NLP like NLTK, TextBlob, CoreNLP, etc.
