does anyone have general suggestions for newcomers?

hey. i am teaching myself to code. i have dipped ever so slightly in the past, but recently have made a clear decision to become sufficient enough at coding to gain employment, as well as bring a couple of my own ideas to fruition. i've decided to start with c++. the main difficulty i am having is with the vocabulary involved. i have a high reading level and have always managed by way of context or dictionary. i know that i could do this now, and i do. simply put, it's a considerable amount of new knowledge, and i was curious if anyone had similar struggles and could offer some support or guidance. thanks everyone.

Just complete the current C++ course, then tackle at least another 5 courses. You will note that what you will ask after you do this, will differ greatly from what your asking now. Good Luck! -bern
