COMPUTER COMMUNICATE TO EACH OTHER ONLY IF THEY KNOW IP ADDRESS OF EACH OTHER. CONSIDER IP (INTERNET PROTOCOL) ADDRESS AS ADDRESS OF THAT COMPUTER IN INTERNET. WHEN YOU TYPE ANY URL IN BROWSER , BROWSER FIRST ASK FOR IP ADDRESS OF THAT PARTICULAR URL (HOST NAME OR DOMAIN NAME) TO ISP (INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER) . ISP THAN CONTACT TO DNS (DOMAIN NAME SERVER) AND ASK FOR IP ADDRESS OF THAT PARTICULAR URL AND SEND IT TO BROWSER. ONCE BROWSER GET IP ADDRESS OF SERVER IT REQUEST HTML FILE FROM SERVER. SERVER RESPONSE BACK WITH HTML FILE AND OTHER FILES SUCH AS CSS OR JAVASCRIPT IF THEY ARE LINK TO HTML FILE. BROWSER RECIEVES HTML FILES , RENDER IT AND DISPLAY TO SCREEN. I KNOW I HAD WRITTEN A LOT BUT I HAD TRIED TO EXPLAIN IN SIMPLE TERMINOLOGY.
