since 2022, Android has adopted jetpack compose and kotlin as their official tools for android development.

If you would need to learn android development now, i would suggest jetpack compose so you can create declarative UI instead of the old way with xml. One of the best guy in youtube is phillip lackner, although hes got an accent but youd understand what hes talking about
